ZYN! was a German on-line satire magazine. Contrary to classical satire magazines it appeared only in the Internet. As "the only German satire magazine" called itself. The editorial seat was Cologne on the Rhine.
The ZYN! - Magazine was created at the end of of 1992 of Arno and Markus small as successor-different in the mailbox scene at that time of popular literature and satire magazines. Further establishment fathers were franc Meurer and Tochtenhagen. The first expenditures appeared still as ANSI text and/or later than a kind Newsletterin of the mailbox scene and in the FidoNet, starting from 1995 then also than one of the first German satire magazines in the Internet.
Publisher since 1992 was Markus small, under the name "Sammy", editor-in-chief was likewise for a long time Arno under the name "Snorr".
The editorship constantly varied between 20-40 active editors as well as a large number of occasional coworkers. Since 2000 were added besides still approx. 20 so-called "Stricher", the Cartoonisten of the ZYN! - Magazine and 2004 the created own toonster publishing house. To the Cartoonisten, also on ZYN! , belonged among other things Joscha sour and Gernot Gunga were published.
ZYN! won 2003 the second place alternatives of the medium price. Attention achieved the Parodie "Spiggl" on the news magazine mirror on-line one. A fictitious interview with Federal Chancellor Gerhard over German nuclear weapon plans, published there, was taken up by an Iranian press agency.
On the ZYN! - Internet side is since at the beginning of of 2006 only a reference to a temporary locking. According to the recordings of the Internet Archives the side was already once 2003 temporarily closed. It is gemutmasst that the current locking is entgultig.
