The company Zettelmeyer was a German manufacturer of construction machines.

History

The company Zettelmeyer was created 1897 of Hubert Zettelmeyer as building contractor in Konz. one began 1910 with the production of own steam rollers.

1935 were begun with production by tractors. 1938 were added the production of dump trucks.

After end of the Second World War the production plants destroyed by bomb attacks had to be developed again. 1950 were added then still the production of wheeled loaders, before 1952 the production of tractors and steam rollers was stopped. In the 50's one concentrated on the business with construction machines and brought themselves it up to the market leader.

1984 took place renaming in Zettelmeyer construction machines GmbH.

1990 acquired Volvo 25 per cent of the shares, before Zettelmeyer was completely taken over 1991 by Volvo. Today Zettelmeyer is some of Volvo Construction equipment, which label name Zettelmeyer no more not used.
