Young Chang Akki CO. Ltd. (Young Chang of music instruments) is a Korean manufacturer of pianos.

Young Chang was created 1956 in Incheon (Seoul) Korea by three brothers. Briefly after the Korea war Young Chang began as piano business. Due to the high import duties on Luxusartikel one decided to die a co-operation with the Yamaha corporation. Pianos were imported divided and were thereby normal commodities. So the tariff for pianos could be gone around. The parts were then assembled and sold in Korea.

The enormous demand for pianos led to the establishment of its own piano production by YAMAHA. 1967 was manufactured the first pianos. The instruments were manufactured first only for the Korean market, driven out later world-wide. Production increased into the 1990er years to over 100.000 wings and pianos in the year. Thus YCK the largest manufacturer was world-wide.

Young Chang manufactures also pianos for other manufacturers, among other things for Hohner and Steinway (Essex series). So far approx. 3 million pianos were manufactured.

1995 a work in China established in that for instance 10.000/Jahr of pianos and wings to be manufactured.

To the 1990er years the American company Kurzweil of YCA (Young Chang America) was transferred and the YCRDC (Young Chang Research & development center) was created, in which high-quality electronic music instruments are developed.
