Working clothes or working clothes is clothes, which are carried during the practice of an occupation of service, either protecting the body (therefore also protective clothing) or however a clear recognizability requires. In some occupations carrying working clothes is prescribed.
Working clothes is usual clothes of an occupation, whose procurement is incumbent on in principle the employee, but are limited according to the requirements of the owed work in the selection. (see judgement Federal Labor Court from 13 February 2003 (Az. 6 AZR 536/01).
Beside working clothes into above mentioned senses service clothes become between uniforms (e.g. with the military), and Amtstracht differentiated.
Special pieces of working clothes are the Dresscodes of the so-called guild clothes (gap), which are particularly carried by men on journey.
Furthermore a special role takes the Business clothes, which do not have any functional necessity, but in certain fields of the working life a respectable radiant emittance to obtain are and as standard was therefore established.
For the 1980er years and still more strongly into the 1990er years was established proper Workwear mode. Pieces of occupation clothing became fashionable Requisiten. This tendency under HipHoppern and Skatern was particularly common. Punctually there was this tendency however already much in former times, then the classical Jeans is an article of clothing, which originally comes of to the work clothes. Skinheads began to carry for the 60's work clothes in the spare time (particularly work shoes).
