The wrong Woldemar (or also wrong Waldemar; "Â 1356 allegedly in Dessau) were a Hochstapler, who was belehnt 1348 by Karl IVTH with the Mark Brandenburg. He was called allegedly Jakob Rehbock and is Mueller-associated to have been. This and other rumors are however no more than presumptions of some contemporaries and chroniclers. In the summer 1348 he introduced himself as older pilgrims to the archbishop of Magdeburg than the old Mark count Woldemar, who one had bestattet 29 years before. 1842 published Willibald Alexis its novel the wrong Woldemar. In most recent time the novel the last Askanier of refuge Bosetzky (Frankfurt 1999) dedicates itself to the events around the wrong Woldemar, whereby the author sets up its own theory regarding the identity of the alleged Askaniers.
