Dispatching a letter by writings, (franz. = Universal Postal Union language), to Austria also Rekommandation, is a special form of the letter dispatch. It essentially concerns to the sender a proof of the letter dispatch.

Kinds of the writing

The sender selects the mode of shipment writing,

  1. thus the sender receives an admission voucher with date, which confirms the admission of such a letter with the post office enterprise, and
  2. the transmission only to the receiver or one its receipt authorized persons or receipt-entitled delivered and
  3. the distribution happens only against signature actually of the receiving.

Writing with return ticket

One dispatches by writings with return ticket, then the sender receives an acknowledgment of receipt with the original signature of the receiving, the return ticket. It can be however only proven by a writing that a document was dispatched, which contents had this document can thereby is not proven. That diminishes the proof value of a writing e.g. for one legal proceedings strongly. Even if it depends on contents of the document, better a feed should take place via the bailiff.

Zusatzleistungen

Further variants are:

  • Auxiliary instruction personally: It is supplied with to its receipt authorized person particularly authorized for it only to exactly the receiver or at one.
  • Variant: A throw on: The Einwurf of the transmission is only documented into a mail box.

The German post office AG takes over an adhesion of up to 20 euro (a throw writings) when loss or damage a writing and/or up to 25 euro (writings personally). For transmissions, whose value exceeds these borders clearly, dispatching is therefore recommended as parcel, with which the German post office AG up to 500 euro clings. In former times there was also still the so-called insured letter, this form today abroad is however only offered.
