The Working Holiday visas was furnished by the Japanese government, in order to make for young humans possible a longer stay in Japan to finance and this journey by jobs in Japan. The first Working Holiday program was furnished 1980 between Australia and Japan, since December 2000 gives it this possibility also for German citizens. Further partner countries with Japan are New Zealand, Canada, South Korea, France and Great Britain.

The visa entitled for the stay in Japan for 12 months. It can be requested with the Japanese message or a consulate. The Working Holiday visas can be requested only once in the life and only up to the age of 25, in exceptional cases 30 years. The operating time of the requests amounts to about two weeks.

In order to request it, one must show the following things:

• valid passport
• Foreign health insurance
• 2000 euro
• And return flight ticket or 1000 euro
• Request for the visa

The visa purges, if one leaves Japan within the validity period and no so-called "reentry permit" requested.

Who possesses a Working Holiday visa, can without time or restriction of content in Japan work, it results however an income tax of 20%. In addition certain fields of work are impossible (bars, night clubs).
