The term computer group work (RGA) or English Workgroup Computing designates a component of the CSCW. Here aperiodic and weakly structured team and/or group work the support of, which requires a high degree at co-operation (co-operation, concerns). By Workgroup Computing tries the Zusammernarbeit by computer-aided to facilitate and/or only make interlaced systems possible.

The team members can be thereby geographically and temporally from each other separately, e.g. Software development in different time belts or continents. For this reason there are also completely different editors real time and/or deferred working makes possible. This requires special mechanisms, around work control (e.g. Curserbewegung to regulate Scrollen in the document) with synchronous (real time) treatment. Demarcation

In contrast to it Workflow management of systems, likewise part of the CSCW, is with which co-ordination of structured operational sequence employs, as e.g. with business processes.: Standardized damage assessment when insurance.
