Work time account is a term from the personnel management. Here in written or electronic way the actually carried out work (inclusive vacation, illness, overtime, etc.) of the coworker follow-old is charged and with that work-contractually or work time which can be carried out tariff-contractually. If the employee owed more worked than work-contractually, the work time account exhibits assets, otherwise a deficit.

Work time accounts are led in particular, if the actual work times are irregular (e.g. with shift work). Beyond that work time accounts are an instrument of making flexible, since they permit that the coworker (alone or together with the superior and its colleague) adapts its work time varying requirements. It pays attention then only to it to hold its work time account during a certain period (i.d.R. monthly or jahresweise, for longer periods see long-term account) zero.
