A work instruction regulates in detail, how certain tasks of work are to be accomplished. Work instructions are bound to a certain process and/or a product or a job. They are an auxiliary tool for each coworker, so that it can fulfill its tasks quality-assuringly. The individual work procedures are held frequently in flow charts or in a kind check list.

The employment of a work instruction is meaningful, if despite experience and qualification of the coworker repeats the same errors are made. Work instructions are suitable also as good basis for the training of new coworkers.

As enterprises one can specify, how a work instruction has to look. A statement for the production of such an instruction: "Write it in such a way that the user thereby can work!"
