Wimbledon park is an aboveground station London Underground in the urban district London Borough OF Wandsworth. It is in the Travelcard Tarifzone 3 to the Arthur Road, because of the eastern edge of the park of the same name. In the year 2004 of the District LINE served station was used by 1.786 million passengers.

The opening of the station took place on 3 June 1889 via London and South Western Railway, which had built the distance between East Putney and Wimbledon. From the first day on the distance was leased to the "metropolitan District Railway" (like the District LINE was called at that time). Because this section is this very day legally seen a railway, the signals are cared for not of London Underground, but by the course infrastructure company network Rail.
