Willy Lessing (* 19 January 1881; "† 17 January 1939 in Bamberg) was a German Kommerzienrat and entrepreneur. From 1938 to its death he was a chairman of the Jewish Kultusgemeinde in Bamberg.

Lessing was born as a son of the Grossbrauers Simon Lessing and its Mrs. Clara. After the early death of its father he took over the line of the Bamberg AG as as well as his nut/mother. 1919 fused the brewery of its father with the attaining and developed in the consequence to largest breweries of Franconia. Lessing remained majority shareholder of the enterprise. After the seizure of power of the national socialists Lessings of portions of the 1936 were obligation-expropriated.

Several warnings for the defiance and the emigration of its wife and his son to England Lessing remained in the National Socialist Bamberg. 1938 he took over the presidency of the Jewish municipality of the city already dezimierten. When with the storm of the Bamberger synagog was in the night of the Pogrome to 9. and 10 November 1938 the building on fire, Lessing hurried there. It was recognized with the attempt of the rescue of the Tora role of the fire founders and abused heavily. As it at home blood-flooded at the soil was appropriate penetrated for the mobilization into its dwelling and set also these in flames. Lessing was gezerrt the road and struck up to the unconsciousness. Two months later it succumbed to the consequences of the abusing.

After end of the Second World War the storm was legally regenerated on the synagog and the murder Lessings 1946. One the fire founder was condemned to a detention by two years, another because of the attack on Lessing to four years detention. Two further identified participants were not placed before court. 1948 decided the town councillor von Bamberg the Sophienstrasse, in which the family Lessing had lived to designate after Willy Lessing.
