William whale village Astor, 1st Viscount Astor (* 31. March 1848 in New York town center; "† 18 October 1919 in Brighton (England)) were finance, statesman and novelist. The central name leads itself off from the city barrier village, the origin of the Astor family.

The only child William drawn up in Germany and Italy, later studied it to the Law School of the Columbia University. On 1881-1885 it lived as an Ambassador in Rome. 1890 it planned the building of a hotel, but in the next year it already pulled with its family to England. 1899 it was naturalized.
