William Gustav Illbruck (* 26 September 1927 in Opladen, "† 21 November 2004 in Pattscheid) was a German entrepreneur and Hochseesegler.

After training as the Werkzeugmacher, the military service and five-year Soviet war shank worked he first at the German Federal Railroads and later in the cardboard box industry.

1952 it created the company Illbruck GmbH for plastics engineering in Pattscheid.

In the 1980er and 1990er years determined Illbruck with its partner Hans Otto the German high sea-gel scene. he won 1983 and 1993 with its yachts Pinta the Admiral's Cup, 1984 the Sardinia Cup, 1993 and 1994 the One clay Cup.

On 26 September 2002, its 75. Birthday, received the Order of Merit to Illbruck. It was married and had two children.

The company Illbruck was under their new owner Michael Illbruck main sponsor of the sail team of the same name, which with the Volvo Ocean Race 2001 - 2002 the victory attained.
