Werner Rolfinck (* 15 November 1599 in Hamburg; "† 6. May 1673 in Jena) was a German physician, natural scientist and a Botaniker.
Rolfinck was son of a Gymnasialprofessors. It studied medicine in Leyden, Oxford, Paris and Padua from 1616 to 1618 afterwards at the University of Wittenberg philosophy. 1625 graduation to the Dr. med. after short stay in Venice and Wittenberg he received a call to 1629 as a professor at the University of Jena where he the fan surgery, anatomy and Botanik represented. Rolfinck rendered large services around the Botanik. it furnished one "hortus medicus "(Botani garden), to which it introduced the medical students into the botany above all the welfare plants to 1631 in Jena.
