Werner quiet (* 24 August 1947 in Wessmar/Schkopau) was a first lieutenant of the head office clearing-up and double agent for the Federal Information Service Federal Intelligence Service.

Starting from 1966 quiet physics at the university Leipzig studied. it occurred 1972 the Ministry responsibly for public security of the GDR, head office clearing-up HVA, department XIII, paper 1, for espionage in the area of the nuclear weapons and research in physics. Six years later it came to the establishment of contact to the Federal Information Service, which acted first most unprofessionell.

On 19 January 1979 a dramatic escape with documents of the HVA followed over the border crossing Friedrichstrasse to West Berlin, in order to escape the directly threatening arrest. Stillers friend was removed with the help of the message of the German Federal Republic in Warsaw. He left its wife and daughter however in the GDR, where they were exposed to various chicaneries because of assumed connivance. After the escape numerous GDR agents in West Germany, France, Austria and the USA were unmasked and arrested. Among them Udo Proksch, Klaus abundance, Gerhard Arnold, Professor Karl Hauffe, Karl-Heinz bell. It succeeded to some to extract itself by escape into the GDR of the prosecution. With its questioning by the Federal Intelligence Service it contributed considerably to the identification of a photo of the "man without face" HVA boss Markus wolf, which was launched promptly to the magazine of the mirrors and published there on the title page.

Werner quiet was condemned in the GDR by the highest military court in absence to death.

1981 began a second life for quiet, equipped with a new identity. As a Klaus Peter Fischer it completed a restaurant study in Saint Louis and was from 1983 to 1990 investment bankers with Goldman Sachs in New York and London. Afterwards it was four years bank executive committee with Frankfurt banking houses of the Lehmann Brothers.
