The webers mechanical engineering GmbH & CO. Kg is a German medium-size enterprise with head office in Breidenbach (Hessen). The company serves the market at home and abroad with special's applications for cutters as well as Entschwartungs and piece of broken glass ice machines. Emphasis are thereby high speed cutters (so-called "Slicer ") for sausage and cheese, with which weber is world market leader.

Establishment and firm history

weber created its enterprise 1981 with 3 coworkers. The annual turnover was 2005 with over 100 million euro. The internal technical development department cooperates with universities and research establishments at home and abroad - particularly with the RWTH Aachen.

630 coworkers (conditions: May 2006) are busy with weber mechanical engineering in development, manufacturing, selling and service of the machines for the food processing industry. The enterprise maintains further addresses in new Brandenburg and largely Nemerow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) as well as subsidiaries in France, the Netherlands and the USA.
