The company Warwick GmbH & CO Music equipment kg is a German manufacturer of E-basses.

The enterprise was created 1982 of Hans's Peter Wilfer, the son of the Framus Fred Wilfer. The first bass model was the Nobby Meidel bass. The instrument was arranged without head end plate and with a very gradlinigem Korpus. Thus the bass became a little top-heavy and therefore very successful. Warwick praises itself to use high-quality woods for the building of the instruments and introduced as new instrument wood Wenge for Korpus and neck. Although during the development and the production of the instruments new technologies and computer-assisted methods are used, many manufacturing steps take place further in manual work.

The product range of the enterprise covers also bass amplifiers and boxes. Besides Warwick works as German Distributor for the companies Digitech, B.C. Rich, Rocktron and further.

1995 was closed the old manufacturing plants in the upper-Frankish Pretzfeld and the company created together with Framus a new enterprise location in Mark new churches in Saxonia. Since 1996 Warwick operates an office in Shanghai.

A cheaper series is skirt bass. It is manufactured economically in Asia.
