The vocational function is the perception additional giving up and/or of an area of responsibility, which are attached to a practise of the profession.

This function is exercised in personnel union.

Examples for this are:

• A department manager can be simultaneous also sales representative.
• A soldier in the officer rank can be simultaneous also OvWA.
• A police execution civil servant is in principle determination person of the public prosecutor's office.
