The Viktimologie understands itself as kriminalistische and psychological scientific partial discipline, which is concerned with the victims of criminal offences. The subject of the research are the victim personality structures, the process of the victim becoming (Viktimisierung), the relations structures between victims and authors and the consequences for the victims of a criminal offence. Viktimologischearbeitsfelder are in the Forensik, Kriminologie and Kriminalistik.
