The Volvo S80 is a car of the manufacturer Volvo.

First generation (1998 - 2006)

With the introduction of the S80 in the year 1998 Volvo put the basis for to Exterieurdesign continued today. The outstanding features of it are the V-shaped hood with a out-standing nose, the strong shoulders just like the rounded off rear lights. Also a BiFuel variant is offered, which can be driven with natural gas and gasoline. Engine performance is enough from 130 HP with the 2.4D over D5 with 163 HP up to the top model with 272 HP with the T6. The S80 is a vehicle with front wheel drive; some engine variants are available also with all wheel.

Beside the equipment lines Kinetic, Momentum and Summum also a particularly variant Executive is available, which some special equipment characteristics are reserved - under it a Rear Seat Entertainment system with TFT screens in the head restraints of the front seats and a cooling subject behind the arm file.

Second generation (since 2006)

At the beginning of of February 2006 was presented to clearly modern drawn S80 more again, inside and outside. Beside revised row six-cylinders for the first time also the 4,4-Liter-V8 engine with all-wheel drive (universe Wheel drive, briefly AWD), already well-known from the XC90, is offered. The 3,2-Liter-R6 and 4,4-Liter-V8 petrol engine variants are supplied for the time being only with automatic transmission.
