The company Vitronic GmbH was created by Dr. - engineer Norbert stone in the year 1984. The enterprise employs approx. 300 coworkers in Germany and in the USA.

The emphasis of the developments lies in the ranges of image processing systems, 3D-Bodyscanner, identification/logistics and factory automation.

Vitronic is mainly well-known by the supply of the control bridges for the German truck duty in the public. The bridges are always used as symbol for the Mautsystem, since they are the part of the Mautsystems, which most humans. This product led among other things to the assignment of the CCCeBIT Awards 2004 by the chaos computer club.
