Professor Dr. Siegmund desire garden (* 19 December 1857 in Vienna; "† 22 January 1911 in New York town center) was a Austrian physician.

Life

After successful Matura (Abitur) desire garden began 1875 a medicine study at the University of Vienna. Already as a student he worked there on chemical Institut at Professor Ernst Ludwig and published first scientific work.

1891 locked desire garden its study with a graduation. Some study stays followed with the of its field of activity: Professor Albert Neisser (Breslau), Professor Rudolf Bergh (Copenhagen), Professor Georg Lewin (Berlin), Professor Carl refuses (peppering castle) and Professor Ernest Besnier (Paris).

The results of this study trip and own research made it for desire garden possible to habilitieren 1885 with Professor Moritz Kaposi in Vienna. Directly in the connection it became 1. Assistant at Kaposis hospital for Dermatologie and Syphilidologie in Vienna. Still in the same year desire garden was appointed also still as a lecturer in skin diseases to the University of Vienna.

1888 rejected desire garden of offers, Konstantinopel or Basel would have brought in a chair at the universities which for it. It went one year later to the Mount Sinai hospital into New York. At the same time he worked in New York also on the Hebrew Orphan Asylum.

1884 presented the Lustgarten Siphillisbacillus of the professional world to desire garden, which he falsely regarded as the exciter of this illness. This mistake could not harm its as outstanding physician and dermatologist however.

When Sigmund Freud developed a new method of dyeing nerve tissues, he could fall back to important research results of desire garden. Also Dr. Karl vest found a competent colleague in desire garden.

At the age of 54 years Professor Dr. Siegmund desire garden died on 22 January 1911 in New York.
