Dr. Veronica Carstens, bear Prior (* 18. June 1923 in Bielefeld) be German Medizinerin and widow the former Federal President Karl Carstens.

It was born as the youngest of four children of a engeneering graduate, completed in Bielefeld its Abitur and afterwards 1941 in Westrup their mandatory work service.

1942 began it their medicine study in Freiburg in mash gau, completed its Physikum and worked of 1944-45 as a military hospital sister for the red cross. 1944 married it in Berlin Tegel Karl Carstens, which they know 1943 had learned.

First as a housewife actively, it continues 1956 their medicine study in Bonn. Before it turns out that the pair will remain childless.
