The company Vacheron Constantin is the world-wide oldest continuously producing Uhrenmanufaktur with seat in Geneva (Switzerland). It belongs today to the luxury goods company Richemont.

History

Vacheron Constantin was created 1755 in Geneva quarters the Saint Gervais by the Uhrmacher Jean-Marc Vacheron. The second name giver of the Manufaktur, the buyer Constantin, entered 1819 as partner into the company and worried particularly about the selling in completely Europe.

In the year 1839 by the chief mechanic Georges-Auguste Leschot were developed for the first time in the clock industry machines, with which small series could be produced. 1875 referred the enterprise new areas in the Rue of the Moulins, where until today the enterprise seat as well as the 1906 opened sales rooms and the Vacheron Constantin museum find.

The Firmenlogo of Vacheron Constantin is since 1880 a Geneva disk.
