UPM Kymmene is a Finnish enterprise, the paper manufactures. The manufacturing plants of the enterprise in Germany (Augsburg and already gau) were taken over by the former paper factory Haindl.

UPM ranks among the forest and paper companies leading world-wide. The company headquarters is Helsinki, Finland. The business activity of the internationally active enterprise concentrates on printing papers, special papers, improving and wood products. The UPM group operates manufacturing plants in 15 countries and its most important markets is Europe and North America. In the year 2005 the enterprise with approximately 31,500 coworkers gained a conversion of scarcely 10 billion euro. The shares of UPM are noted at the stock exchanges of Helsinki and New York.
