The UNZ (our new newspaper) is a left weekly paper in Thuringia. It was created 1990 and appears in Erfurt.

Publishing house

The magazine is in the possession of partners, of whom about a quarter is former and active federal state parliament and European delegate of the Party of Democratic Socialism. It shifted of the publishing trade guide Monika Fenk Sorbe. The newspaper promoted by announcements of the Party of Democratic Socialism, among other things contains it as supplement the "parliament report" of the federal state parliament parliamentary group, which its own editorship has. In addition the publishing house publishes brochures to contemporary history, often with the point of view of the functionaries active at the GDR time.

Contents

The magazine with the sub-title "for culture, politics, economics and job market in Thuringia" has regularly "country and people" a side, interview, the "parliament report" as multilateral supplement. A side is dedicated to the activities of the youth organization solvently, a further side concerns itself with the policy in the European parliament. Further columns are short messages from the regions, meeting references, reader letters, a service and councellor part as well as mysteries. Altogether the magazine from the plant is comparably with the Bavaria courier, although with a left instead of a Christian-social emphasis.

Range

The newspaper has an edition of 5100 copies, by which 4800 is delivered at subscribers and 300 is sold over the magazine trade. According to an Media analysis the newspaper has a range of approx. 15,000 readers however in Thuringia. Common the newspaper is meanwhile also in on Mondays demo initiatives.

Editorship
