The USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) is a 2-gliedrige examination, which the medical profession placings must, in order to be allowed to become medically active in the USA. The step 1 consists of a written, the step 2 of a written (clinical knowledge) and a practical (clinical skills) examination. International physicians know the written examination in test centers world-wide placings, whereas the practical examination can be completed only in the USA themselves. For out-rural physicians the admission to the examination was made and - co-ordination by the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates).
