Unilever is a English-Netherlands company global acting, which manufactures branded articles. In the year 1930 from the fusion of the margarine Unie/union and Lever Brothers Ltd. developed enterprises developed owing to extensive firm assumptions to the third biggest manufacturer of food. Other business ranges lie in the production of Kosmetika, household and textile care products, as well as of Parfums. Even if the enterprise appears outward as an enterprise, it has a double structure from two equal firm parts with own shares since the fusion in the year 1930: the Netherlands Unilever N.V. as well as the British Unilever PLC. There are further two general meetings, two enterprise seats in Rotterdam and London, however the executive committee is identical in both enterprises and for the moment of Patrick Cescau is led. In the year 1888 the families Jurgens and Van create the Bergh enterprise for the industrielle production of margarine in Germany. Years later William Hesketh Lever in Mannheim the Sunlicht Seifenfabrik AG, which is sold in the year 1914 for reasons of the threatening expropriation by the German government, creates eleven and 1924 are redeemed. Likewise the families Jurgens and Van the Bergh could grow up themselves to prominent butter manufacturers up to this year. Three years later, in the year 1927, fuse the enterprises of the families Jurgens and Van the Bergh in Rotterdam to the margarine Unie and in London to the margarine union. 1930 unites finally margarine Unie/union and Lever Brothers Ltd. to Unilever and represent thereby the up to then largest firm fusion. Already 1932 is partly 69 enterprises, as well as further 31 in the possession of Unilever. In addition also the 1925 created Elida AG belong. Thus 1935 because of strict foreign exchange regulations, which forbid the feedback of funds from Germany to the nut/mother company to Rotterdam, enterprises come such as Langnese, as well as fusion cheese, textile and paper factories to the enterprise in addition. Already 1948 run production in most enterprises. 1958 are converted the margarine union AG into a GmbH.
