The trembling mushrooms (Tremellales) are an order of the stand mushrooms. They live on dying or dead branches and branches of different tree species. In former times the associated kinds were counted due to their along septierten Basidien to the class of the Phragmobasidiomycetes or Heterobasidiomycetes obsoleten in the meantime.
About 200 kinds of mushrooms in Central Europe, which belong to this order, exist.
The trembling mushrooms can shrink with dryness and swell with humidity again strongly. The fruit bodies are gelatinous in the poured condition. The Basidien is lengthwise septiert.
