Trud was in the Soviet Union the organ of the trade union committee and is today the third biggest daily paper in Russia.

History

Trud was created as trade union organ 1921 and possessed in this function an edition of last 21.5 million copies. After the decay of the Soviet Union the propaganda organ of the trade unions steered by the communists changed itself to a normal daily paper with substantially smaller edition.

Today

Trud brings it up-to-date on an edition of 613.000 copies per day. It is thereby the third biggest daily paper title in Russia. Trud sees itself as language blank "links center" in Russia. The publishing house of the newspaper firmiert as "autonomous nonprofit organization".
