In the management economics, particularly in the economical informatics one speaks of Triage, if segmenting of customer's requests and/or external requirements is meant.

The Triage concept pursues the goal of the optimization and acceleration of business processes by means of assignment of certain requirement classes at far specialized business processes. So can be differentiated for example during the credit request completion with respect to a bank between simple, average and difficult cases. For each of these classes a specialized variant of the business process "credit completion" exists after the Triage concept. Thus unnecessary requesting of resources is avoided and the business process is accelerated.
