Trade unionism (derived from the English term "trade union", German "trade union ") is (every now and then also devaluing meant) a name for an adjustment of parties and/or party wings on the agency of unionized interests.

The term for the first time by Lenin in its writing "which to do" for the designation of a direction within the SDAPR was used, which limited the political arguments to unionized fight.

As an example of trade unionism is considered the labour party in Great Britain, which understood itself for a long time as protection of interests of the trade unions in the parliament and made beyond that hardly independent policy.
