Tossing stauchschmieden is an end reforming procedure for the production of metallic long products such as nails, screws, piston rods, tappets or round steel bar anchors.
Long round steel bars made of rolled metal are warmed up to one or more transforming stages at the ends to forging temperature (with steel approx. 1,100 degrees Celsius) and strengthened by hydraulic (or mechanical) presses in. In order to make articulated connections possible, eyes or with spherical bearing surfaces are e.g. angeschmiedet. Other forms like cylindrical reinforcement, hexagonal, female hexagon head, federation or plate can be likewise tossed.
These strengthened ends can be threaded e.g., which are stronger now than the shank, so that the extra large anchor screws over nuts/mothers or forks can be attached. By the use of on the right of and Linksgwinden several so-called round steel bar anchors can become connected by turnbuckles with each other and strained.
So particularly large anchor lengths can be achieved, how they are needed for example with the building by quay walls (connection between the port wall and an anchor wall rammed in the interior).
Eyes can be connected by pins so mobile that bending loads are avoided. Thereby overloading and damages are avoided surely.
