Torta del Casar is a Spanish sheep cheese. It originates from the autonomous region Extremadura and is designated after the place of origin Casar de Its production is protected over the indication of origin (D.O.) "Torta del Casar ".
The cheese is made exclusively of milk by Churra sheep, whereby it is brought with vegetable lab from the wild vegetable artichoke to coagulating. On the inside it is softly to liquid and of very intensive Geschmack.In a Torta del Casar cuts one to the consumption an opening into the very hard bowl and exhausts contents with a spoon.
Torta del Casar is served among other things as supplement to pig meat courts.
