A tilting plow is a plow in a special Bauform.Es actually concerns the opposite arrangement of 2 plows, a right-cutting and a left-cutting. The two plow halves formed a jack over the centrically arranged chassis quasi. The part was brought in interference, main headers itself the other part from the soil. The halves were located in an angle to each other that to transport both halves were dug.

The largest tilting plows were pulled by plow locomotives (steam plow) by means of a steel cable over the field. Because of the opposite arrangement of the it was not necessary to turn the plow. Only the side working in each case "was tilted" into the furrow
