The thousand-contact price (TKP) (also thousand-RPR ice, rope the contact price or thousand Ad Impressions (TAI) mentioned) is a characteristic from the Mediaplanung. It indicates, which money must be used in an advertising measure (for instance for TV commercials, on-line advertisement or print advertisement), in order to reach 1000 persons of a target group by visual contact (in the radio hearing contact). Usually from the gross range (also hunting contacts of a person taken into account) of a medium one proceeds. Within on-line range, for example during banner advertisement, a Ad-Impression applies as contact.

In this case the TKP is calculated as follows:

Example: a 1/1 lateral color announcement in the "mirror" costs net 50,600 euro. The mirror reaches each week 6.04 millions readers with a pressure edition of 1,3 million pieces. Thus: Reader * 8.37 euro cost 50,600 Euro/6.040.000 to 1000 = 1,000 to readers to present each a full-page mirror announcement.

However with repeated contact of a person with the advertising message if the net range for a cost use computation is at the basis put, then one speaks depending upon medium of a thousand-reader price, a thousand-user price or a thousand-listener price. The computation takes place in this case in such a way:
