Dr. Thomas Walker Horsfield (* 1773 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; "† 14 July 1859 in London) was a British physician, zoologist and a Botaniker.

Horsfield was born 1773 in Philadelphia in the US Federal State Pennsylvania and studied there medicine. He worked many years as a physician on Java.Die East India company took over control of this island of the Netherlands, and Horsfield began to collect on behalf its friend Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles animals and plants. Because of illness it had to leave Java 1819 and became Kustos, late curator of the museum of the East India company in London.

In the year 1826 Horsfield of deputy managing directors '' of the Zoological Society OF London became ''.
