The Green Gockel is an environmental management system of the Evangelist regional church in Church municipalities can to be certified be able that them systematically, comprehensibly and continuously by their acting to a discharge of the environment to contribute and this acting public make.

Bases

The 12. Landessynode seized a resolution on 22 November 1999 for the execution of the environmental audit in the Evangelist church municipalities in The Green Gockel is based on the regulation (EEC) No. 761/2001 of 19. March 2001 over the freiwillige participation of organizations in a community system for the environmental management and the environmental audit of operating results (EMAS), is however co-ordinated with the basic conditions and the structure of a church municipality.

Expiration

A church municipality, which decided to participate in becoming green Gockel is accompanied in the first year by particularly trained church environmental AUDI gates.

At the beginning consumption data are collected and evaluated by river, water, heat energy and waste. The environmental team provided from it a measure catalog, the so-called environmental program, and sets itself, e.g. the saving of 5% of the heat energy for a goal. Many church municipalities decide in the course of the environmental audit for the setting up from solar collectors or cisterns.

The presentation of the certificate takes over the regional church, after a church environmental consultant locally was and the Green controlled the book.

In a Rhymtmus of three years a renewed certifying takes place, after an in-process inspection took place annually.

The Greens the book

The Green the book is a guidance, which the church municipalities to the certificate "the Green Gockel" leads. It is put and maintained to the Evangelist land youth organization and the Evangelist upper church advice by KATE registered association, at the disposal.
