TEREX fox is part of the Terex Holding for the production of construction machines.

1888 - Forging master Johannes fox begins to manufacture progressive agricultural devices in Hemmingen. Six years later the new work in Ditzingen develops with Stuttgart.

1950 - On the exhibition of the agriculture company in Frankfurt fox presents the small excavator D 1. Two years later the first self-propelled, universal machine supplied with pneumatic tires D 3 follows.

1956 - In the Ditzinger work is developed the prototype fox 301. At the same time beautiful fount, with Karlsruhe, begins the building of a new work in the bath of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Later production eight machines per day reaches five years, at the same time comes the 5.000ste FOX 301 off the line.

1966 - On basis 301 the first fox hydraulic excavator is presented. With a hydraulic excavator mechanism of Schaeff one follows the trend to hydraulic construction machines.

1971 - After a completely new concept fox develops hydraulic excavators, crane and fuel loading machines. The advantages of the rational building group manufacturing are recognized and used consistently.

1975 - Fox receives the patent for the first and at the same time tiltable cab. One year later is delivered the 20.000ste fox excavator, 713.

1985 - The Langenburger enterprise Karl Schaeff GmbH & CO. the Johannes fox kg engine works transfers to Ditzingen with Stuttgart. The kernel program of the series is further-produced.

1991 - A new era begins: The fuel loading machine MHL 350 is presented. Later fox the gap between that closes three years 714 MU and the MHL 350. With the MHL 340 a further, particularly on the material envelope cut, fuel loading machine is available. In the subsequent years the line of the fuel loading machines is consistently developed.

1998 - Fox stops the production of excavators and concentrates from now on only on the building of fuel loading machines. The product program covers now fuel loading machines to 66 t service weight for the ranges recycling, port, scrap iron and wood.

2001 - With the types MHL 430, MHL 460 PC and MHL 460 T is available from now on its own line of fuel loading machines for the wood industry.

2002 - The American Terex company from Westport/Connecticut takes over the Schaeff group. So fox is now part of the manufacturer of construction machines, acting world-wide.
