Under the term teleworking different work forms are summarized, with which coworkers are firmly employed at an employer and perform at least one part of the work outside of the buildings of the employer. Often the results of working are conveyed thereby to the employer over digital channels.

In addition frequently communications equipments are used such as computers, fax and telephone. Agreements over work goals, dates etc. are made with the employer, the team or both. The enterprise has the advantage with teleworking that it must make fewer office surfaces available.

Different forms of the teleworking are usually differentiated:

  • With the Teleheimarbeit performs the employee the entire work in its own dwelling. A job in the premises of the enterprise does not exist. Likes is this work model with young mothers, for who so the reentrance is facilitated into the working life, in addition, with young fathers. The work can distributed be furnished and children nevertheless be supplied. For the employer the advantage results that technical and firm knowledge and an estimated worker remain.
