The TechnoTrend AG is one of the prominent offerers of DVB hardware in Germany. It was created 1990 in Erfurt.
TechnoTrend was created 1990 in Erfurt, Thuringia, of Dr. Heiko Kieser under the name TechnoTrend system engineering. When it began 1993, PC maps to the receipt of television develop, grew the company slowly to one of the largest TV-map-manufacturers of the world. From TechnoTrend system engineering became 1996 the TechnoTrend AG. Dr. Heiko Kieser remained a managing director of the company.
Most products of the TechnoTrend AG are sold not directly by it, but by other companies, which acquired licenses, in order to be able to sell their products under their name. To these companies belong among other things Hauppauge, TechniSat and Fujitsu Siemens.
