Team Ulm.de is an on-line magazine with own on-line Community, editorial and picture-editorial reporting, meeting references, Locationguide and information about the current cinema happening. The side is contentwise aligned to the region Ulm for young people and adult between 15 and 35 years.

History

January 2000 a pupil and a civil service-carrying out a web page, which listed information to meetings in Ulm and contained smaller interactive modules, started at the beginning of. This Internet side was mainly meant for a closed group of users. Already after few weeks also further visitors came on the side over search machines and mouth propaganda. Since the number of visitors grew within few months further, the side to a public on-line magazine were developed.

In the autumn 2001 the range of the party photography and cultural reporting was added. In September 2002 the user registration and the associated attached on-line Community were carried out. Further interactive columns like an on-line flea market, a contact stock exchange, to send away the possibility directly over the side message and a forum followed. Likewise the editorial ranges and the Locationguide were extended.

Since the introduction of the profile sides in May 2004 the growth of the side increased strongly.

The enterprise of the side runs from the beginning on honorary basis and by approx. 70 honorary coworkers in their spare time is carried out. Over the circuit of advertising banners, own meetings as well as by sponsors the enterprise becomes financially secured.

Team Ulm.de ranks today among the usually-visited and most popular on-line portals in South Germany of this kind.

Technology

Team Ulm.de is operated on several servers in a Ulmer computing centre. For the distribution of the Internet sides four servers, which are equipped with two CCUs and at least 4 GB RAM in each case, are considerably responsible. Among other things four 3,0 GHz are Xeon dual processors of Intel in the use.

Team Ulm.de is characterized since January 2006 after ICRA, and seizes own measures for the conversion of protection of children and young people defaults.

On-line are occasional over 4.000 registered users at the same time on team Ulm.de. According to own data the side has over 150.000 registered members. The majority of the users comes from the region Ulm or has a special purchase to it. The age of the users lies in the majority between 15 and 35 years (average 20.4 years).
