When one designates tarpaulin (also Blache, Blahe or Plache mentioned) a textile cover or a cloth, whose edge is strengthened by piping. Tarpaulins can be also from plastic.

Often they are as advertising media at business buildings to see to renting objects or in the more direct practical use as tents or than cover with LKW's. For example open trucks become and - trailers with tarpaulins provide, in order to protect the transported articles against weather effects. Often tarpaulins serve also for the attachment or as Sichtschutz. Of a tarpaulin one speaks also with sunning and rain protection on boats, terraces or gardens.
