The target corporation is the second-follow-richest chain in the USA after whale Mart. Target is more successful than competitor Kmart, because it has a differentiated offer and a better image.

In the past target sold different chains of stores:

  • Target net curtain (see below)
  • Mervyn's
  • Mars-resound Field
  • Dayton's and Hudson's

The company has its company headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The enterprise was well-known until 2000 as "Dayton Hudson corporation". The chain, the target in Australia is called possesses Coles Myer.

History

1902 were opened by George Dayton the first department store in the business quarter of Minneapolis. At that time it was well-known as "Dayton Dry Goods company". Afterwards it was renamed 1910 in "Dayton company".
