TAKRAF is the abbreviation for ''' T ''' agebau - equipment, ''' Kra ''' ne and ''' F ''' and mark a collective combine of the GDR. Nearly all VEB (state-owned enterprises) to the industry, likewise ancillary industries, collective combine-own technical research establishments, planning and design office etc. forerunner of the collective combine belonged to it were the VVB TAKRAF, which existed until 1980 and which as far as 1965 the name VVB carried mining industry equipment and conveyor plants. The TAKRAF products were marketed under a Einheitslogo from the name also in other countries.

The seat of the collective combine line was in Leipzig. TAKRAF Stammbetrieb was the VEB shipping and building of transportation facilities (VTA) Leipzig, which during the process of the nationalization from the private business Bleichert transportation facilities GmbH and SAY Bleichert had come out.

At the time of the denationalization 1990 the collective combine consisted of 26 individual enterprises. Important enterprises of the collective combine:

Parts of the collective combine are come up into the 1990er years with the privatisation in the company MAN TAKRAF conveying engineering GmbH, which has its seat further in Leipzig.
