On 24 April members of the Red Army parliamentary group hostage took 1975 in the German message in Stockholm, Sweden.

Process

On 24 April 1975 the command Holger Meins, consisting of Hanna crab, stormed Karl-Heinz Dellwo, Lutz Taufer, Bernhard Maria Ulrich Wessel as well as Siegfried Hausner the German message in Stockholm and barricaded themselves in the upper floor of the building. With twelve hostages in their force the six RAF members demanded the release of altogether 26 convicition comrades, under it Andreas Baader, Ulrike Meinhof, Gudrun Ensslin and January Carl Raspe.

The Swedish police occupied the basement of the message. After to take off it was not given way to the demand the command shot the lieutenant colonel Andreas von Mirbach, on which the policemen withdrew themselves into an auxiliary building of the message.

Around 20:00 clock was announced the resolution of the German Federal Chancellor, Helmut Schmidt, is not received on the demands of the terrorists. This answered the command with the murder at Heinz Hillegaart.

Briefly before the Swedish security forceses wanted to attack the building with clock exploded probably unintentionally an explosive charge attached by the terrorists around 23:47. Ulrich Wessel died, all other command members as well as the hostages suffered burns. The arrested Siegfried Hausner died three weeks later in Stuttgart master home at its suffered injuries.

Judgements

The four survivors terrorist Hanna Elise crab, Karl-Heinz Dellwo, Lutz Taufer and Bernhard Maria were condemned in each case on 20 July 1977 to twice lifelong imprisonment.

granted begnadigt on 17 November 1992 gnadenweise was pending and 1994. Taufer and Dellwo became in the spring 1995, crab to 10. May 1996 from the detention dismisses.
