The sweet-grass-well-behaved (Poales) are an order of the plants (Liliopsida). This order contains only one family, the sweet grasses (Poaceae) in older systematic overviews. Molecular-biological investigations led starting from 1998 however to a considerable extension of this order by scientists of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group. Thus the families of the earlier orders Typhales, Bromeliales, Juncales, are combined Cyperales, Restionales and still some other orders now into the sweet-grass-well-behaved (Poales), whereby the order contains today 18 families.
