The sun rope plants (Droseraceae) are a family of the Bedecktsamigen plants (Magnoliophyta).

The family is world-wide represented with three kinds, i.e. case of water, Venusfliegenfalle and sun rope, which contain altogether approximately 150 kinds.

In former times you also the kind were assigned to rope sheet (Drosophyllum), are placed meanwhile these into their own family, the rope sheet plants (Drosophyllaceae).

Description

All kinds of this family are krautige, carnivorous plants. The bloom conditions are mostly wind. The blooms are zwittrig and mostly sometimes The Fruchtknoten are upper constant. Cap fruits with very many are formed, for small seed.
