The sea-rose plants (Nymphaeaceae) are a family of the bedecktsamigen plants.

With 75 kinds in 6 kinds this family is one of the small families of the bloom plants. It is world-wide represented outside of the polar climate zones. All members of this family are aquatic plants.

The Barclayaceae, Euryalaceae and Nupharaceae were in former times independent families, the kinds of the families the sea-rose plants are assigned now.
